We specialise in tailor made sailing holidays in the Mediterranean. Our main base is on Murter Island in Croatia where we have our own Yachts and Day boats and from where we run our in house Learn to Sail in Croatia, Flotilla Sailing in Croatia and combination Apartment and Yacht holidays. In addition to our own fleet, we work closely with a number of local providers, combining their yachts with our flotillas, enabling us to satisfy most skippers requirements. We also offer Bareboat Charter from most of the main departure points in Croatia. For single travellers our speciality is our Learn to Sail a Yacht Holiday, where you share a yacht with others and an instructor, sailing around the islands as part of flotilla. Couples, groups or families may book an entire yacht, or share with others depending on their requirements, and particularly popular with families and groups are our two week Family Sailing Holidays. In Greece and Turkey we act as agents for a number of carefully chosen local companies. We mainly specialise in flotillas and Bareboat Charter in these areas, often combining yachts and accommodation from different providers to create unique trips.
All of our holidays can be booked either with or without flights, and depending on the option chosen, can be for both beginners or experienced sailors, as well as for singles, families or groups. We no longer print a conventional brochure as you will find all of the most up to date information by following the links on the right. You can email us from anywhere on this site via the above enquiry form, with questions or to check availability. For immediate enquiries call 01243 641304 during normal office hours.
Learn to Sail In Croatia
This is our most popular holiday for either the total beginner wanting an introduction to sailing, or the competent crew/dinghy sailor wishing to improve their sailing and navigation and getting either their first crewing or skippers certificate. Anyone wanting more can go for their full licence, the International Certificate of Competence (the ICC). This is an ideal holiday for groups, families or singles. Courses run from April to October and flight exclusive prices start from £295 per person per week in early April, plus an on site cash payment of £55pp to cover yacht costs. A weeks tuition combined with a second week either taking your own yacht on flotilla, spending it ashore in pre arranged accommodation with day sailing, or doing your own thing, are all very popular follow on options .
Flotilla Sailing in Croatia
Our Croatia Flotilla is based from Betina marina on Murter, a small island joined to the mainland by a bridge, and located approximately mid way down the Croatian coast, north of Split and south of Zadar . This particular stretch of coast has an indented coastline with numerous towns, and villages, a selection of small populated islands just offshore, and then a few miles further out the islands of the Kornati archipelago. There are two National parks in this area, as well as the cities of Zadar and Sibenik, and overall it is an excellent flotilla sailing area.
For most of the season our flotillas remain within this area, but on certain dates, we run a limited number of two week flotillas that go outside this area allowing us to visit the larger islands further south such as Brac or Hvar, or going north towards Rab and Krk. Please see the links on the right for details on the routes and dates of our special flotillas.
Bareboat Charter In Croatia
Croatia is an excellent area for Bareboat charter, and we can offer a very good selection of yachts from all of the main departure ports. In this case we are working with local suppliers in different locations which is how we can offer such a choice. Most of these are small specialist companies that work with agents like ourselves, so there are no extra costs for booking a yacht in this way. We then have direct access to their booking planners and so can quickly give you an indication regarding availability for any particular date.
The first thing that anybody considering a Bareboat Charter has to do is narrow down their choices, usually in relation to sailing area, skippering qualifications, yacht type etc and to assist with this we have identified the main points below which anybody wanting a bareboat will need to consider.
Day Sailing
The island of Murter is where we base our flotillas from and where we offer shore based accommodation and have our Drascombe Luggers for day sailing. Any of our 31ft yachts can also be taken on a day sailing basis, returning to our base marina each evening. This option is particularly suitable for groups that want to stay ashore, but still have access to a yacht by day. The island is is positioned just off the main Croatian coast, about 60 miles North of Split, and joined to it by a lifting bridge at Tisno. It is about 11kms at its longest point and 3kms at its widest. The area between the mainland and the Island createsa perfect day sailing area, as you are protected on all sides and there are numerous bays and small islands to sail to. There are three marinas on the Island, one at Betina, one at Jezera and one at Hramina by Murter town itself. Our in house flotilla fleet is based from Betina, but we offer Bareboats from all the marinas.
