An encounter with a family of mountain gorillas in their forest habitat is
amongst the most humbling of wildlife experiences.
Accompanied by expert guides and trackers, we enter the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of these rare and elusive creatures. Although our number one objective is to view gorillas in their natural environment, this exceptional safari also highlights Southern Uganda’s many other attractions. From Kampala, we drive through lush farmland and savannah to reach the beautiful crater lakes at the Kibale Forest.
We then continue to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here, on the equator, with the snow-capped summits of the Ruwenzoris in the distance, our program of game drives will enable us to see elephant, hippo, lion, leopard, buffalo and many other species.
Hiking through the Kyambura Gorge, we will also have the chance to spot chimpanzees. After our 2 days at Bwindi, a game drive and walk at Lake Mburo, with its rich birdlife, brings to a close what can only be described as “a wildlife spectacular.”
