Holidays to Iceland, see the Blue Lagoon, Reykjavik and Geyser.
Below are a selection of video clips taken whilst I was touring in Iceland in late June/early July 2008. At this time of year there is 24 hour daylight. The sun only disappears below the horizon about 12.30pm and reappears about four hours later during which time there is only a semi darkness. For those experiencing this for the first time it is absolutely fascinating and well worth a trip to Iceland just to experience it.
Iceland is famous for its glaciers, volcanoes, hot volcanic thermal springs, hot spas, land of the midnight sun, northern lights and interesting geology.

Hardly any cars on the road even at peak holiday time in June makes driving in Iceland a dream. This video shows some of the scenery along the main coast road so sit back and enjoy the ride. The traffic has not been edited out of these video clips, what you see is what the roads are like. Running time approx. 8 minutes.

A 6 minute 50 second video driving through a volcanic landscape with beautiful mountain backdrop. There are many lakes which at this time of year are infested with insects, so many in fact that it is not advisable to get out of your car. Luckily they don't bite or sting, but the sheer numbers of them make it very unpleasant to be outside. Along the road you see a landscape which is made from volcanic rocks falling from the sky and in the distance can be seen condensation from the steaming vents of the hot water springs.
