Iceland holidays video Reykjahlid, mountains and the blue lagoon and glacier.
Below are a selection of video clips taken whilst I was touring in Iceland in late June/early July 2008. At this time of year there is 24 hour daylight. The sun only disappears below the horizon about 12.30pm and reappears about four hours later during which time there is only a semi darkness. For those experiencing this for the first time it is absolutely fascinating and well worth a trip to Iceland just to experience it.
Iceland is famous for its glaciers, volcanoes, hot volcanic thermal springs, hot spas, land of the midnight sun, northern lights and other things.

Crossing a mini suspension bridge in Iceland. Just about all bridges there are single track so it's first to the bridge gets priority. However, there is so little traffic that you hardly ever meet anyone.

Driving towards some beautiful snow capped mountains in Iceland. Pity about the weather, we had just driven through a snowshower - in June! Don't let that put you off, the temperature was usually very mild, about 15C/59F.

Vatnajokull is Iceland's largest glacier covering over 3,700 square miles. It's fingers reach down over many mountain tops but this is where it's icebergs flow out into the sea.
