Below are a selection of video clips taken whilst I was touring in Iceland in late June/early July 2008. At this time of year there is 24 hour daylight. The sun only disappears below the horizon about 12.30pm and reappears about four hours later during which time there is only a semi darkness. For those experiencing this for the first time it is absolutely fascinating and well worth a trip to Iceland just to experience it.
Iceland is famous for its glaciers, volcanoes, hot volcanic thermal springs, hot spas, land of the midnight sun, northern lights and other things.

In the Iceland countryside there are millions of blue lupins, many of them planted to bond the loose volcanic dust to stop it causing dust storms. This is a drive by a lakeside where the road is flanked by them.
